Private graveside services and interment for Alvin Leon Milliken Sr., age 92 of Cookeville, will be held at West Cemetery in the Burgess Falls community of Putnam County. Mr. Milliken passed away December 13, 2020 at Bethesda Health Care Center. He was born September 22, 1928 in Nashville, TN to the late Thomas Edgar and Nora Carney Milliken. Mr. Milliken worked as Transportation Coordinator Shop Steward and Teamster Movie Industrial Teamster Local 745 Dallas, TX. He is survived by his brother, Jerry Wayne Pemerton and wife Patty Marie Gore Pemerton; a daughter, Sharon Bryant Mata and husband Reyes Mata Lopez; a son, Bruce Bryant and wife Debra Williams Bryant. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Trey Milliken, Megan Kazmerzak, Heather Bryant, Dusty Bryant, Rachel Dildine and husband Brandon, Reysheid and Kristin Mata; and great grandchildren, Evann Bryant, Grayson Bryant, Ava Bryant, Lauren Dildine, Charley Rey, Tyler Lane Milliken, Taylor Lynn Milliken, Anna Katherine Milliken, Quinn William Milliken and Andrew Adison. Alvin has a first cousin Myrtle Oliver from Ashland City that he enjoyed weekly phone visits, they would talk about playing in the creek and other adventures. Two sister-in-laws special to him are Ruby Rundell and Maxine Gilpatrick. Special nieces and nephews, Tracy Lynn, Billy Wayne, Pamela Darlene, Kathy Darlene, Charles Isaac, Debra Lynn, Dennis Wayne and Donna Faye. Special care givers that became family, Suzie Mai Maynard, Cathy Jones, Shelly Swan, and Jay Mathew Phillips. One special dear friend Virgil Groom from Maybank, TX, Alvin enjoyed listing to his CD, Alvin knew all the words. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Dickerson; three sons, George Edward, Alvin Jr, and Billy Dan; second wife, Ruth Gilpatrick Bryant Milliken; and two brothers, Charles Edward and Billy Carroll Milliken.
