Anita Young

BAXTER-Anita Gay Young, 59 of Baxter passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at her home. Funeral services for Anita will be Monday, February 25, 2019 at 1 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in the Boma Community of Putnam County. Bro. Charlie Wills will officiate. She was born February 23, 1959 in Temple, Arizona to the late Herman and Helen Caruthers Coffey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by step-mother Berneice Coffey, brothers Daniel Coffey and Ralph Coffey. She was a homemaker and attended Stevens Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed drawing, writing poems, and cooking for family gatherings. Survivors include husband of 19 years (Married October 12, 1999) Tommy Young of Baxter, daughter Brandy (Jeff Campbell) Sullivan of Bradyville, TN, son Bradley (Jennifer) Sullivan of Murfreesboro, grandchildren: Nathaniel, Jefferson and Coleman Campbell, Jacie and Mason Sullivan, brothers Ronald (Elizabeth) Coffey of Indiana, Rusty (Joy) Coffey of Texas, David (Suzeann) Coffey of Smyrna, TN, step-brothers Steve (Sharon) Bowman of Knoxville, Butch (Charolette) Bowman of Florida, Larry Bowman of Cookeville, step-sister Rose (Donnie) Roberson of Cookeville, sister-in-law Sharon Coffey of Eagleville, TN. Family will receive friends Monday after 11 AM at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
