Memorial services for Mrs. Betty Jean Holloway age 85 of Cookeville will be held Friday September 15 at 1 p.m. at Cookeville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Rev. Christian Smith and Dr. Charles McCaskey will officiate. Private family graveside services will precede the memorial service at Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Holloway died Friday morning September 8, 2017 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born Saturday October 10, 1931 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James H. and Willie Carlene Howes Grisard. Betty was a homemaker and a member of Cookeville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 56 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald "Don" Byrd Holloway and son, James Lynn Holloway. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Terry Julian, son and daughter-in-law, Don and Jan Holloway, Jr. and brother and sister-in-law, William "Bill" and Teresa Grisard of Hendersonville, TN; five grandchildren, Don Holloway III (Jammie Goff), Kelly Gaw (Landon), James Lynn Holloway, Jr. (Laura Beth), Jessie Karen Holloway, and Jonathan Reed Julian (Halie); six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and two granddogs, Brandy and Fifi.
