Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Katherine Huddleston Jones, 83, of Algood, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday February 3 in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Phil Young will officiate. Entombment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time. Mrs. Jones passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 30, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. She was born May 28, 1935 in Baxter, TN to the late Horace Clifton and Edith Maynard Huddleston. Mrs. Jones was a 1952 graduate of Cookeville Central High School. She retired from Institutional Wholesale Company in 1999 after 25 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Baskel M. Jones; and two brothers, Robert (Bob) and William (Bill) Huddleston. She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Jones of Franklin, TN, Johnny (Cathy) Jones of Algood; one grandson, Jeremy (Emily) Jones of Cookeville; two great grandchildren, Jackson Jones and Addie Lynn Jones; siblings, Mary Chaffin of Melbourne, FL, Kenneth (Joy) Huddleston of Cookeville, and Jaunita (Dan) Kane of Johnson City, TN; and sister-in-law, Charlene Huddleston of Cookeville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
