Bill Romick

ALGOOD-Mr. William "Bill" Lynn Romick, age 87 of Algood died Friday evening February 8, 2019 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Bill was born Sunday July 12, 1931 in Irondale, Ohio to the late William Charles and Opal Elizabeth Davis Romick. Since moving to Algood, Bill and his wife have been active members of Algood United Methodist Church. He was a past member and past Exalted Ruler of Hastings, MI Elks Lodge # 1965. He was a retired Plant Purchasing Manager with the Eaton Corporation and a U. S. Air Force Veteran (serving in the Korean Conflict). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Romick. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Doris Griggs Romick (whom he married January 22, 1955 in Battle Creek, MI); son, William F. "Bill" Romick of Edgewater, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jack Carmicheal of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Justin (Christine) Carmicheal and Brandon (Ashley) Carmicheal; two great-grandchildren, Holden and Piper Carmicheal; two sisters, Marjorie Aldrich of Williamsburg, VA and Patricia (Norman) Fisher of Green Valley, AZ; aunt, Shirley VanderJagt of Cadillac, MI and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Bill's funeral services will be held Tuesday February 12 at 11 a.m. at Algood United Methodist Church with Rev. Albert Willis officiating. Entombment, with military honors, will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. His family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at Algood Methodist Church.
