Billie Sue Dunn

Funeral Services for Billie Sue Dunn, age 82, of Cookeville, will be Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery in Monterey. The family will receive friends Friday, September 7, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Mrs. Dunn passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Bethesda Health Care Center. She was born July 19, 1930 in Wilder TN to the late Mike Blaylock and Ola Bowden Blaylock. Billie enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She retired from Fleetguard after 23 years, and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Billie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Grey and Margaret Dunn of Cookeville. She is also survived by three sisters; Anna Joy (Roy) Swafford of Monterey, Kay (Opless) Walker of Cookeville, and Johnnie Ruth Johnson of Monterey, one grandson; Joshua Scott of Carthage and two great-grandchildren; Kayce and Kayla Scott as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by her husband, James G. (Pip) Dunn, one brother, Frank Blaylock and one sister, Sammie Jo Blaylock. Pallbearers will be Joshua Scott, Monty Johnson, Blake Swafford, Steve Welch, Bradley Swafford, and Bryson Welch. Bro. Bobby Floyd will conduct the services.
