Graveside Military services were held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 3 PM at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida. Bob was born June 28, 1935 in Baxter, Tennessee to Joseph Bradford and Elva Dyer Bradford. He became a stepson at an early age to Collie Brown. He died peacefully Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Baptist Medical Hospital in Jacksonville. Bob retired from the U.S. Navy serving over 20 years. He was a Vietnam veteran and served his country around the world. Bob was devoted husband and father. He was married to Rosa Diaz in Seville, Spain. They had four daughters. He settled with his family in Jacksonsville, Florida where he had a civil service job with the U.S. Navy until his retirement. Survivors are wife of 58 years, Rosa Diaz Bradford, daughters Elva, Yolanda, Pamela and Racquel all of Florida, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and one sister Geneva Brown Haller of Silver Point, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father, sisters Rose (Ed) Sutton and Helen (Zina) Herren, brothers Nelson (Ruth) Bradford, Joseph Jr. Bradford, and Floyd (Dorothy) Bradford. His naval career carried him around the world but his roots were firmly planted in Tennessee where he always loved to come back home to visit.
