Bobby L Waters

Funeral Services for Bobby L. Waters, age 79 of Cookeville, will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home, with burial following in the Stewart Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening November 21, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Mr. Waters died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born April1, 1932 in Raleigh, West Virginia to the late Floyd and Marie (Clift) Waters. Mr. Waters was of the Baptist faith and was retired as an Engineer in the Manufacturing business. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict,and will be buried with military honors. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by two children, a son, Rick Waters (wife, Dawnetta) and daughter Donna Marie Waters Cravens (husband, Garry) both of Cookeville. Mr. Waters is also survived by three grandchildren, Brandon Garrison, Rebecca Garrison Smith and Deke Waters: two great-grandsons Collin Garrison and Brody Garrison and two brothers, Roy Waters (wife, Linda), of Florida, and Larry “Ted” Waters (wife, Linda) of Wisconsin, and a special friend , Betty Lou, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer special thanks to Bobby’s caregivers, NHC of Cookeville, Heritage Point, and Care-All. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Notie Jean (Clouse) Waters in 2010, a son, Bobby L. Waters Jr. ,and two brothers, Howard and Bill Waters. Pallbearers will be members of the family. Brother Mike Adams will be conducting the service.
