Funeral services for Mrs. Carlene Thompson Scott, 69 of Cookeville will be held Saturday August 20 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Dodson Chapel Cemetery in Overton County. Rev. Harold Walker, Rev. Frank Davis, and Rev. Alex Jackson will officiate. Mrs. Scott died Thursday morning August 18, 2011 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Scott was born September 26, 1941 in Overton County, Tennessee to the Mrs. Dimple Boatman Thompson of Cookeville and the late Willie Heron Thompson. She was of the Baptist Faith and attended Duncan"�s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ila Ruth Thompson and Mary Thompson. Survivors in addition to her mother include her son, Mark Scott and girlfriend, Missy McBride; two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie Robinson and Donna & Mark "Puggs"� Watts all of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Brooklyn Scott, Courtney Scott, Taylor Scott, Cody Robinson, and Brandon Watts; two sisters, Sue and Tommy Phillips and Janice Thompson all of Cookeville; four brothers, Roy and Rose Thompson, Raymond Thompson, Ricky and Tammy Thompson all of Cookeville, and Vaden Thompson of Rickman; special friend, Becky Lain of Cookeville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Scott"�s family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
