Daffo Warren

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha "Daffo"� Warren, 97 of Athens, Alabama and formerly of Cookeville will be held Saturday August 27 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Paran Cemetery in Overton County. Rev. Mark Gaw will officiate. Mrs. Warren was born December 18, 1913, the daughter of Lester Cook and Rosa Clementine Smith Allen in Jackson County, TN and died on August 24, 2011 at Limestone Healthcare Facility in Athens, AL. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Athens, AL; a former member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She also attended Bagham Heights Baptist Church in Cookeville and Paran Methodist Church in Overton County. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Doss Warren; two sons Jack Warren and Jim Warren; two brothers, Zeb and Jack Warren; and three sisters, Dimple Lee, Helen Hensley, and Lucy Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Warren Rogers of Athens, AL, seven grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home in Cookeville, TN from 12 noon until service time.
