Daisy E Slagle

Funeral Services for Daisy E. Slagle, age 81, of Cookeville will be Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home with burial to follow in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, August 4, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Daisy passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 31, 1929 in Cookeville to the late Sam and Vina Randolph. Daisy was a member of the Samaria Church of Christ. Mrs. Slagle is survived by her husband, Ernest Slagle, one daughter, Bernice and her husband, Ted Tlanda of Elkridge MD, and two grandchildren; Marianne Curry and her husband, L.C. of Cookeville and Alan Moss of Vicksburg, MS. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Katie Rohr. Additionally she is survived by one sister, Maryetta Scarlett of Michigan and two brothers, Clodus Randolph and his wife, Lou, of Cookeville, and C.J. Randolph and his wife, Jeanette, of Brookston, IN. Daisy is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters; Ina Lafever, Pina Luke, and Lula Mae Brewington and three brothers Brasky, Vasco and Dee Randolph, and three infant siblings. Brother Ralph Dunn and Brother David Eldridge will officiate the service.
