Funeral services for Mr. Daly James Maxwell, 93 of Baxter will be held Monday January 2nd at 1 p.m. at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Maxwell South Cemetery. Bro. Gary Norton and Bro. Tommy Benson will officiate. Mr. Maxwell died Friday evening December 30, 2011 at his home. Mr. Maxwell was born April 13, 1918 in Putnam County, TN to the late Oscar D. and Laura Frances Gentry Maxwell. He was a life-long farmer; member of Lilly"�s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church; and a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Floy Cronk and Marie Maynard; and two brothers, Lawrence Maxwell and Gilbert Hop Maxwell. Survivors include his wife of 74 years Ruby Jewell Holman Maxwell (whom he married September 28, 1937 in Albany, KY); two sons and daughters-in-law, James Raymond & Ernestine Maxwell of Baxter, and Harlan J. & Donita Maxwell of Cookeville; five grandchildren, James Lee (Kristy) Maxwell, Paula (John Mark) Randolph, and Jamie (Tony) Elrod all of Cookeville; and five great grandchildren, Garrett Maxwell, Kaylyn Maxwell, Ross Randolph, Jenna Randolph, and Colton Elrod. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Maxwell, John Mark Randolph, Tony Elrod, Garrett Maxwell, Ross Randolph, and Gary Maynard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maxwell South Cemetery Fund % Ernestine Maxwell 7775 Ditty Road Baxter, TN 38544. Mr. Maxwell"�s family will receive friends Sunday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. until service time at the Baxter Chapel.
