David Walker

Funeral services for David Lewis Walker, age 81 of Cookeville will be at 11 a.m. Thursday July 14th at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Bobby Moore will officiate. Interment will follow at Stone Seminary Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time. David passed away Sunday evening July 10, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 28, 1941 in Putnam County, TN to the late Cordell and Pearl Moore Walker. He was a life long farmer and retired auto mechanic. He was talented at restoring antique license plates and was recently featured in the 385 magazine. David was a member of Auto License Plate Collectors Association. (ALPCA). David was of the Methodist faith, and is remembered as an honest and Godly man. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Minton Walker, whom he married June 27, 1959; brother, Roy Walker of Cartersville, GA; two sisters, Mildred (Charles) Judd of Cookeville, and Betty Grimsley of Crawford, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
