Funeral services for Willa ' Dean' Randolph, 85 of Louisville, KY and formerly of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, November 19th at 3:00 p.m. at Dyer Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Dr. Tim Frank will officiate. Mrs. Randolph died Friday morning, November 17, 2017 in Park Terrace Health Campus in Louisville, Kentucky. Dean was born November 9, 1932 in Baxter, TN to the late Woodrow and Mildred Morphew Mahan. She worked her early years as a clerk in her family's grocery store, and later as an associate at JC Penney in Cookeville as well as an associate for many years with Oyster Corporation. She and her late husband were members of over 60 years at Stevens Street Baptist Church. Dean moved to Kentucky in 2014 to be near her daughter as she dealt with Alzheimer's in her later years of life. She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on May 28th, 1951, Donald Ray Randolph, her father, Woodrow Wilson Mahan (who passed in 1932 shortly before her birth), mother, Mildred Gentry, step-father, Clifford Gentry and brother, Melvin Gentry. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Steve Kelly of Shepherdsville, KY and Cheryl and John Harwell of Hermitage, TN; five grandchildren, Holly (Nick) Spiegl, Kyle Skidmore, Jason (Callie) Kelly, Crystal (Matt) Taylor and Hunter Harwell; two great grandchildren, Victoria and Michael Spiegl. Sisters, Joyce Harness and Rosemary Jones both of Cookeville, special aunt, Marie Chaffin and uncles Lawrence Morphew and Clarence Morphew. Dean's family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Family will serve as pallbearers.
