Funeral services for Mr. Dean Worley, of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, May 23rd at 4:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Howard Cemetery in Putnam County. Rev. Martin Thielen will officiate. Mr. Worley's family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Masonic Service conducted by Cookeville Lodge 266 will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Dean passed away peacefully Sunday, May 21, 2017 at home with his family by his side. He was born October 19, 1943 in Lebanon, TN to the late John Dee and Magdalene Isom Worley. Dean was a member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church. He was sales manager for Institutional Wholesale Club (IWC) for 25 years, a job he loved! He enjoyed traveling, Florida and the Smoky Mountains were his favorite destinations. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Wayne Worley and daughter-in-law, Katie K. Worley. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jannie Bullington Worley (whom he married June 17, 1966); sons and spouses, Mike and Jen Worley of Byrdstown, Jeff and Lori Worley and Steve Worley, all of Cookeville; grandchildren, Eric Worley, Evan Worley, Mya Worley and Kord Blackmon; and by brother, James Worley of Cookeville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. IWC sales team members, First United Methodist Church Forum Class and Backslider's Class members will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Academy, a ministry of Cookeville FUMC that cares for individuals with developmental disabilities: Hope Academy, FUMC Cookeville, 165 E Broad Street, Cookeville, TN 38501.
