Deborah Adams

Funeral services for Deborah Williams Adams, age 64 will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday March 2 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Harold Walker and Bro. Estel Bilbrey will officiate. Interment will follow at Algood City Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 10 a.m.until service time. Deborah went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving husband and daughter. She was born May 5, 1957 in Overton County, TN to the late Earl and Winnie Martin Williams of Algood, TN Deborah was a loving, devoted wife and mother, who above all, put her faith and trust in God. She was a supportive pastor's wife and member of Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church. Deborah was retired from human resources at Tennessee Tech University after more than 30 years of service. She loved to read, take countryside road trips, work in the garden, and care for her special dog, Molli Coco. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Mike Adams, whom she married September 3, 1977 in Algood; daughter, Jennifer Adams of Cookeville; brothers, Donnie (Patsy) Williams of Cookeville, Lonnie Williams of Algood, and Tommy Williams of Algood; mother-in-law Willie Brown Adams of Smithville; brother-in-law Mark (Karen) Adams of Smithville; sister-in-laws Vicky (Randall) Duke of Smithville and Veronica (Johnny) Pack of Smithville; nephews, Stacy (Misty) Williams of Cookeville, Jeremy Williams of Algood, Trenton Williams of Algood, Justin (Felicia) Duke of Smithville, Jared (Sydney) Adams of Chattanooga; nieces, Amanda (Scott) Goodwin of Smithville, Marla (Jim) Beshearse of Smithville, Brooke (Drew) Hutton of Knoxville, Megan (Joseph) Carroll of Smithville, and Mykaela (Riley) Young of Smithville and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law Brownie Adams and her sister-in-law, Loretta Williams. Pallbearers will be Stacy Williams, Jeremy Williams, Trenton Williams, Mark Adams, Randall Duke, and Johnny Pack. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles West, Darnell Null, Bobby Greenwood, Fletcher Barlow, and Reuben McBroom. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church, 4825 Buck Mtn. Rd., Cookeville, TN 38506. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
