Don Barfield

COOKEVILLE-Memorial services,with Military Honors, for Mr. Don E. Barfield, 67, of Cookeville and formerly of Charleston, SC will be held Wednesday, June 13 at 3 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Donnie Davidson will officiate. Mr. Barfield died Saturday morning June 9, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1945 in Hamilton, TX to the late Edward and Violet Samples Barfield. He served in the United States Navy and retired after 22 years of service. He has been a member of the Masonic Lodge of Summerville, SC for over 30 years; member of the Scottish Rites Bodies and Omar Shrine Temple in Charleston and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Mr. Barfield loved to play golf. He was a volunteer with the Putnam Co. Sheriff"�s Department-D.A.R.T. Disaster Assistance Response Team. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Angela Barfield (whom he married September 7, 1980 in Summerville, SC; two sons, Don Barfield Jr. and Jason Barfield, both of Glenrose, TX, step-son, Terry (Patsy) Moore of Cookeville; step-daughter, Sheila (Roger) Haddad of Houston, TX, sisters, Donna McDonald (Tommy) of Constantine, MI and Tida (Mike) Peters of Conroe,TX, half-brother, Charles Barfield, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and three step grandchildren.
