A celebration of life service for Mrs. Donna Marie Rodgers, 72 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, April 9th at 1 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (421 N Washington Ave., Cookeville) with a reception to follow. Father Chad Puthoff will officiate. Inurnment will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Sandoval, Illinois at a later date. Donna went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 26, 2016 in South Fulton, TN. She was born March 25, 1944 in Shattuc, Illinois to the late Collins and Marie Kannall. She worked in restaurants and had lived in Centralia, IL and Cookeville for most of her life. She was a loving mother, a devoted Catholic, and a true yellow dog democrat. She will be missed by everyone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Rodgers; grandson, Nicholas Thorpe; sister, Janice Kannall; and by brother, Johnny Kannall. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Joe Bill Rodgers of Cookeville; three daughters, Christine Thorpe of Martin, TN, Abigail Irvin of South Fulton and Megan Grooms of Woodbury, TN; three sons, Eric Russell of Cookeville, Patrick Russell of Smyrna and Joseph Rodgers of Cookeville; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Kannall of Shattuc, IL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
