"Dot" Dorothy Lillian Bouton

Funeral Services for Dorothy 'Dot' Lillian Bouton, age 89, of Cookeville, will be Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Double Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Bouton passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1924 in Chattanooga TN to the late William Hetzel and Phenia Price Hetzel. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, gardening and crocheting, but most of all she loved her family. Her door was always open to family and friends. She was of the Christian Faith and her home was open to her church as well. Dot is survived by her husband, H.S. “Spud” Bouton;, six children; Becky (Terry) Phillips of Tuscaloosa AL, Fred “Chip” (Janet) Bouton of Cookeville, Florence Culver of Shelbyville, Chester (Jerri) Bouton of Cookeville, Andy (Pam) Bouton of Cookeville and Lydia (Gary) Myers of Gig Harbor WA. Mrs. Bouton is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by all eleven of her brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Kenny, Gary, Dennis, Matt, Brett, Willi, Levi, Jacob, Spencer and Ben. Ministers conducting the service will be Ron Johnson and Robert Johnson.
