Edna Booher

Graveside Services and interment for Mrs. Edna Booher, 86 of Cookeville will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Booher Cemetery in Overton County. Matt Booher will officiate. Mrs. Booher died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Signature Health Care of Putnam County. She was born April 23, 1928 in Byrdstown to the late Granville Armster and Bertie Reagan Groce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Artice Kelso "A.K." Booher. Mrs. Booher was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Livingston, TN. Survivors include a son, Randy Booher of Cookeville, daughter and son-in-law, Deborah & Jim Freeman of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren, Brant (Andrea) Freeman of Macon, GA, Kimberly (James) Furdell of Seattle, WA, Matt (Laura) Booher of Ft. Myers, FL and Kristin Booher of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Bob Groce of Pace, FL, two sisters, Betty Martin of Byrdstown and Olene Martin of Murfreesboro, TN. While there will not be a public visitation at the funeral home, Mrs. Booher's family will receive friends at the Cemetery following the graveside service.
