Frances Darty Hogan

Funeral services for Frances Ann Darty Hogan, age 66 of Algood, will be held Friday May 6th at 1:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Revs. Jonathan Young and Sterl Paramore will officiate. Interment will follow in the Algood Heritage Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Friday from 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Hogan died Sunday May 1, 2022 at Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville. She was born June 30, 1955 in Cookeville to the late AV and Louise Bartlett Darty. She was a 1972 graduate of Cookeville High School. She worked at Red Cap, Telldyne Stillman for many years, and at Gaw Produce. Frances was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed softball and playing bingo and spades. She was sweet, lovable, caring and a selfless person. She loved her church and church family at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Virgil, Charles, and John Darty; sister, Ruth Rose; special son, Travis Hayes; brother in law, Leon "Bee" Hall; and by three grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Lakeisha (Stacy) Darty; son, Matthew Darty; sister, Mildred Hall, all of Algood; grandchildren, Jaiden Darty, Kash Darty, Jazmin Johnson and Jayana Johnson; special sons, Donald C. Hayes, Calvin Hayes, Jerry M. Hayes, Keith Hayes and Christopher Hayes; special niece, Paradise Copeland; special friends, Mattie Woods and David Wells; and by a host of nieces and nephews. Her special sons, Donald C. (Emily) Hayes, Calvin Hayes, Jerry M. (Heather) Hayes, Matthew Darty, Keith (Tranneisha) Hayes and Christopher Hayes will serve as pallbearers. Charles Fedrick, Jr. and William Rhodes will serve as honorary pallbearers. Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (931)526-6111.
