Memorial services for Marion Gayle Choate Haggard, age 69 of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Friday November 12 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Melissa Roysdon will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 p.m. until service time. Gayle passed away Monday November 8, 2021 at Bailey Manor in Cookeville. She was born May 27, 1952 in Greenbrier, TN to the late Floyd Rudolph and Helen Elizabeth Choate. She worked as a paralegal, realtor, and Director of Putnam County Habitat for Humanity. Gayle loved to travel and was always ready for good times and laughter. She never met a stranger and loved everyone. She faithfully worshipped and served God with her music and zest for life at Providence Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roger Lynn Haggard; children, Laura Denise Haggard Witten (Aaron) of Leitchfield, KY, Stephen Lynn Haggard (Jodie) Mechanicsville, MD; brother, Larry Nathan Choate (Mary Lynn) of Greensboro, GA; sister, Karen Choate Pinson of Gallatin, TN; and several nieces and nephews; five grandchildren, Luke Wallace Witten and Asher Gale Witten, Briley Lynn Haggard, Mason Kent Foster, and Kenlyn Grace Foster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Landon Gabe Haggard.
