Geneva Eldridge

Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Opal Eldridge, 94 of Algood will be held Tuesday November 20, at 1 p.m. in the Algood Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Bond officiating. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. Mrs. Eldridge died Saturday evening November 17, 2012 in Masters Health Care Center. She was born August 23, 1918 in Overton County, Tennessee to the late William Joe and Vella Effer Looper Swack. She was a homemaker and a member of the Algood Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Eldridge; son, Bobby Joe Eldridge; grandson, Barry Eldridge; brother, Bascom Swack; and two sisters, Golda Swack and Auda Ray. Survivors include two sons and three daughters-in-law, Larry & Virginia Eldridge of Cookeville, Arnold & Joy Eldridge, and Sue Eldridge all of Algood; grandchildren, Terri Newton, Barbara Nelson, B.J. Eldridge, Robert Eldridge, and Jason Eldridge; step-grandson, Steve Pierce. Pallbearers will be Jason, Barney, and Robert Eldridge, Mike Newton, Mike Nelson, and Steve Pierce. Mrs. Eldridge"�s family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Eldridge"�s family will like to thank the staff at Masters Health Care Center for the excellent care given to our mother while she was a patient. The love shown to her, as well as to her family, will always be remembered.
