Funeral Services for George Lee Mayberry, 77 of Buffalo Valley will be Saturday Nov. 30 at 1 P.M. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with interment in Young Cemetery in the Center Grove Community of Jackson County. Bishop Thomas Hill will officiate. Mr. Mayberry died Friday Morning, November 29, 2013 at his home. He was born March 30, 1936 in Jackson County to the late Haskell and Annie Haney Mayberry. He was a retired machine operator with Bonnell Company in Gordonsville, Tn. with over 19 years of service. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Loretta Mayberry Clayton and a son Harold Lee Mayberry, sister Joyce Mayberry, brothers Aubra, Lewis and Charles Mayberry. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Mary Maxine Lafever Mayberry(whom he married Jan. 2, 1957 in Cookeville) of Buffalo Valley, daughters and son-in-law Connie and Ricky Sutton and Doris Ann McBroom all of Buffalo Valley, sons and daughters-in-law Roger and Heidi Mayberry of Monterey and Gary Lynn and Elizabeth Mayberry of the Nameless Community., 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 P.M. and after 10 A.M. Saturday.
