Georgia Ruth Pifer

Memorial services for Georgia Pifer, 77, of Cookeville, will be held on Monday, July 6, 7:00 p.m. at Colonial View Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of service. Ms. Pifer died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at her home in Cookeville. She was born March 10, 1932, in Montgomery County Tennessee. Ms. Pifer was a member of Colonial View Baptist Church for many years. She was a retired dietician and later worked as a waitress. Her family includes her husband, Keith Pifer; one son, Dwayne Beech of San Francisco CA; One daughter, Loraine Beech of San Francisco CA, two step-daughters, Sister Francis Marie Pifer (Linda Ann) of Louisville KY and Diana Lynn Atkins of Brentwood CA. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Christa Beech of CA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters. Rev. Al Gaspard will be conducting the service.
