Goldie Raines

Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie Rockwell Raines, 80, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, February 8 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Mrs. Raines died Monday morning, February 6, 2012 at Standing Stone Care and Rehab in Monterey. She was born September 20, 1931 in Putnam County, TN to the late Loyd and Odell Conley Rockwell. Mrs. Raines was a member of Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, U.L. Raines. Mrs. Raines is survived by a sister, Dorcas Langford of Cookeville and several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wednesday 12 noon until time of services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Fund, 4825 Buck Mtn. Rd., Cookeville, TN 38506. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
