Hugh Billingsley

Funeral services for Mr. Hugh Billingsley, Sr., 76, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, November 24 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with interment to follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Fox and Bro. Kevin Daughrity will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Billingsley passed away Tuesday morning, November 20, 2012 at his home. He was born June 25, 1936 in Putnam County, TN to the late William P. and Prietta Cravens Billingsley. Mr. Billingsley was a member of Sycamore Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a master furniture upholster and woodworker. He owned and operated Hugh"�s Upholstery Shop from 1969 to 1993. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and he enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Billingsley and two sisters, Marie Stephens and Willene Begin. Mr. Billingsley is survived by his wife of 52 years Nancy Maddux Billingsley (whom he married October 7, 1960 in Cookeville); two sons and a daughter-in-law, Hugh Billingsley, Jr. and Dale and Karen Billingsley, a daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Steve C. Smith all of Cookeville; three grandchildren, Kaitie Billingsley and her mother Kim Billingsley, Hugh "Tripp"� Billingsley, III and Amy Billingsley and their mother, Beth Billingsley, one great grandchild, Aiden Black; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Margie Billingsley of Bowling Green, KY and Bobby and Becky Billingsley of Cookeville and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Sycamore Church of Christ Food Pantry, 1144 Crescent Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501.
