Irene Richardson

BAXTER-Irene Halfacre Richardson, age 102, passed peacefully from this life on December 7th, 2020 in the care of Alive Hospice. She was born on August 21, 1918 at Jackson County, TN to the late Noah C Halfacre and Beulah Brown Halfacre. Mrs. Richardson was a member of the church of christ in Baxter, TN having attended there over 75 years. She attended Lebanon Road church of christ in Donelson, TN for the last five years. Mrs Richardson was retired from Baxter Elementary School where she shared her love for the children through her food for many years and is still remembered fondly by many of those children today. Irene had a deep love for her family and held a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She was an avid and competitive rook player and feared by many around the table. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Lawrence Richardson, brother Taylor Halfacre, sister Jean Barr, daughter Tommie Flynn and son Robert Lee Richardson. She is survived by Son in Law, Earl Flynn, loving granddaughters LeAnn ( Tracy ) Fitzgerald, Amy ( Tim ) Mullican, Five great grand children, Elizabeth Carney, Erin ( Bert ) Young, Zachary ( Jessica ) Mullican, Molly Fitzgerald, Parker Mullican, four great great grandchildren Kaden Fitzgerald, Norah Young, Flynn Young, Kinley Mullican and a host of family and friends. There will be a gathering of family and friends on December 10th from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner with a celebration of life to follow with Brother John Pippin officiating. Interment to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Baxter TN. Family will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Happy Haven Homes, 2311 Wakefield Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501.
