James Edward Knox, 60 of Crossville and formerly of Cookeville, died Thursday evening, September 7, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1956 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Marcella Simpson Knox of Albany, New York and the late Charles F. Knox. He was currently employed with Chris Hughes Farming of Crossville as a bean harvester. He had also worked as a foreman in construction with J & S Construction, Bush Construction, Rock Solid Concrete and also at Twin Lakes Catfish Farm in Baxter. He enjoyed fishing. Survivors in addition to his mother include daughters Amanda Knox of Cookeville and Randi Knox of Colorado, sons and a daughter-in-law Jake Knox and James (Danielle) Knox all of Worcester, MA, step children William Houghtaling of Baxter and Jolene Houghtaling of Cookeville, sister and brother-in-law Lisa (Jim) Carney of Albany, N.Y., brother Michael Knox of Massachusetts, grandchildren: Jaydan Helm, Axell Goff, Arianna, Abigaele, Colton and Weston Knox.
