Funeral Services for Mrs. Janice Elise Maddux, age 69, of Cookeville, will be Friday, June 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Friday, June 8 from noon until time of the service. Mrs. Maddux passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 19, 1943 in Cookeville to the late Walter and Alta Kathleen McCaleb Stringer. Jan enjoyed reading and was a loving mother, wife and Nana. She and her husband Earl were owners of AAA Collections and Counseling Services Inc. Mrs. Maddux attended the Colonial View Baptist Church where she and her family are members. Jan is survived by her husband, Earl Maddux and one daughter Sandra (John) Bohannon, both of Cookeville. She is also survived by two brothers: Lillard (Margie) Stringer of Tunnel Hill, GA and Jimmy Stringer of Smithville TN, as well as two grand children: Ali (Les) Haffner of Sparta and Barry (Macy) Bohannon of Cookeville, and two great-grandchildren: Garrett and Kylie Sue Bohannon. In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Stringer and two sisters-in-law, Opal Stringer and Sue Stringer. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Clifford and Ola Maddux. Bro. Al Gaspard, Bro. Charlie Hutchinson and Bro. Marc Burnett will officiate the services.
