She had an uncanny ability to leave a lasting impression upon everyone she encountered. Jene is survived by her husband of 53 years; sons and daughter-in-laws, Eddie and Barbara Duncan, Greg and Kim Duncan, Brian and Bobbie Duncan; six grandchildren, Michael, Jacqueline, Jed, Kaley, Gabriel and Chase Duncan; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Damien Hernandez, Kaden and Kirk Rodriguez; seven step-great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel (JD) Brewington, Rosalee Judd, Maelene (Izell) Ramsey; two brothers, Buddy (Gail) Steward, David Steward; and a host of nephews, nieces and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Gene Duncan; two sisters, Sue Krites and Annie Pearl Steward; and one brother, Alvin Steward. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday February 19 at Dyer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Nash Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. and again Monday from 9 a.m. until service time. Bro. Tex Boles and Bro. Dow Allen will officiate. Jed, Gabriel, and Chase Duncan, Brett, Bradley, and Brian Mitchell will serve as pallbearers. This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
