Funeral Services for Jerry David Moss, age 63, of Cookeville, will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2010 in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 26 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Chapel of the funeral home. Mr. Moss died Friday, September 24, 2010 at his home. He was born January 11, 1947 in Putnam County TN to the late Willie Haskel Moss and Fannie McKinley Moss. Jerry was of the Church of Christ Faith and attended the Holladay Church of Christ. Mr. Moss was a car salesman for many years and had his own car lot. His family includes his companion, Wilma Eldridge of Cookeville; two step-sons, Gary and wife Jennie Eldridge and Randy Eldridge both of Baxter; one brother Max Moss and wife Susan of Shelbyville; three step-grandchildren, Caleb, Emily and Nathan Eldridge; a nephew, Dr. Max Moss Jr. and his wife Dr. Mary Moss of Murfreesboro; two great nephews Jared and Max Moss III; and a great niece, Mary Elizabeth Moss. Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will include Harry Stewart, Tommy Morgan, Jimmy Hunter, Jerry Cass, Rick Firestone, and Charles Gentry. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate at the services.
