Joan Dilldine

Funeral services for Virginia Joan Dilldine, 74 of Cookeville were held Monday, March 8 at 1 PM at Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. The family received friends Sunday from 4 to 8 PM and after 11 AM Monday until service time. Interment followed in Pleasant View Cemetery. Mrs. Dilldine died Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at her home. She was born October 27, 1946 in Cookeville to the late Ray and Dezzel Lafever Thomas. She was a member of Nash Grove Baptist Church. Joan was a retired resident services coordinator with Cookeville Housing Authority. Survivors include husband Lloyd Dilldine of Cookeville, sons Terry Dilldine of Cookeville, Brandon (Rachel) Dilldine of Mt. Juliet, brothers Dennis (Darlene) Thomas of Sparta, Mark (Genna) Thomas of Hilham, granddaughter Lauren Dilldine. Active Pallbearers will be her nephews, Adam, Anthony and Chris Thomas, Mike Smith, Kelvin Howell and Adam Stubbs. Due to Covid-19 precautions, everyone was encouraged to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
