Joe Peek

Funeral services for Joseph Edward Peek, age 60 of Cookeville, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday June 26 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. David Dalton and Bro. Dan Jones officiated. Interment followed at Smyrna Cemetery. His family received friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time. Joe passed away Wednesday June 23, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by those who loved him most. He was born November 19, 1960 in Anderson, IN to the late Frank Edward Peek and Edith Marie Cox Peek. Joe was a member of Algood Church of Christ and former member and deacon of Smyrna Church of Christ. He enjoyed working in his garage and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Loftis Peek, whom he married May 5, 1979; three daughters, Candice Peek, Erica (Dale) Spurlock, and Marissa (William) Goodale; three sisters, Connie (Rick) Jackson, Carol Holley, and Karen (Richard) Ledbetter; two brothers, Jackie (Penny) Peek, and Jerry (Rhonda) Peek, all of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Mylee Brunett, Masie, Maxton, and Major Spurlock, and Winona Goodale; and several nieces and nephews.
