Funeral Services for Joe T. Steward, age 74 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lafever Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 10, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Dyer Funeral Home Joe was born October 27, 1936 in Putnam County TN to the late Thurman Steward and Dimple Lafever Steward. Mr. Steward was well known throughout the area and had many friends. He is survived by three children, Vickie Diana Steward of Cookeville, Rickie Neal (Michelle) Steward of Baxter and Chuckie Lane (Pattie) Steward of Nashville. He is also survived by two sisters Margaret Ann Chevrier (Jean’ Claude) of Wilmington DE and Irene Carter of Cookeville, two brothers John Steward (Byrda) of Elkton MD and Bobby Elmer Steward (Ann) of Cookeville. Joe was grandfather to six grandchildren and six Great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife Lois Sue Anderson Steward, one son Ronnie Joe Steward, and two brothers Willie Steward and Tom Steward. Rickie Steward, Chuckie Steward, Kevin Steward, Brandi Lowe, Zachary Steward and Adam Steward, will serve as pallbearers. Bro. Bob Steward will be conducting the services.
