John Brittle

April 3, 1940 — April 10, 2022

John Grafton Brittle Sr., born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 3rd, 1940, passed away in his Brentwood home the morning of April 10th, 2022. He was surrounded by his family and is survived by his wife, Nancy Pharris Brittle, his son, John Grafton Brittle Jr., his daughter, Laura Brittle Brewer, and his grandchildren, Olivia and Grafton Brittle, and Savannah Brewer. He achieved the impressive title of Eagle Scout, and was a proud graduate of Tennessee Tech University. He would go on to receive a Masters Degree from MTSU. As an educator, he was involved with the vocational programs for the state of Tennessee. His love of all things fashion opened the door for him to judge beauty pageants in Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia, and led him to a career as a respected furrier for Henig Furs for 19 years. He had great passion and friendships through the Rotary Club of Green Hills for 25 years, and was a speaker for organ donations across many counties. He cherished his West Nashville roots and his beloved friends from Bellevue High. He loved his wife and children, but especially his grandchildren, and found great joy in caring for his own yard and shrubs until he was 80 years old. Funeral services Thursday April 14 at 2 pm Christ Church Nashville (15354 Old Hickory Blvd. Nashville). Interment in Christ Church Memorial Gardens.
