John Sylawa

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday May 25 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksville for Mr. John Stanley Sylawa, Jr, 84 of Clarksville. Father Theo Ebulueme will officiate. Graveside services and interment will follow at 3 p.m. at the Paran Cemetery in Overton County. Mr. Sylawa died Sunday May 22, 2011 at his home. He was born August 22, 1926 to the late John and Bertha Prusunowski Sylawa. Mr. Sylawa was retired from the U. S. Army and former member of both the 11th and 101st Airborne Divisions. He was also retired from Morale, Welfare and Recreation at Ft. Campbell, KY and also a long-time member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Lee; sisters, Bella Haines, Josephine Burat; brother, Watson Sylawa; father & mother-in-law, Claude and Belle Williams. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia Williams Sylawa; grandson, John Cage Lee; sister, Bernice Sylawa of Tampa, FL; brother, Frank Sylawa of Austin, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sylawa"�s family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. till 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville.
