Johnny Dewayne Thomas

Johnny Dewayne Thomas, age 51, of Cookeville passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his residence. The family has chosen cremation, and a memorial service is planned for a later date. Johnny was born December 4, 1961 in Gainesboro TN to Peggy Jean Smith Bartley and the late Sammy Thomas. Mr. Thomas had served in the National Guard and worked for Berkline Industries. He enjoyed camping with his family. He was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Baxter Church of Christ. Mr. Thomas is survived by his mother, Peggy (Lee) Bartley of Somerset KY and one son, Jonathan Thomas of Cookeville. In addition, Johnny is survived by two brothers; Kenny Thomas (wife Laura) of Livingston and Benny Thomas (wife Monica) of Murfreesboro. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Sammy Thomas. Memorial Service will be held Sunday January 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm. at the Hilham Church of Christ. Dyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
