Joy Cable

Funeral services for Mrs. Reva Joy Cable, 71 of Cookeville will be held Tuesday July 26 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Morgan Pippin Cemetery. Horace Burks, David Lipe, and Johnny Fox will officiate. Mrs. Cable died Monday afternoon July 25, 2011 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born March 8, 1940 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late Hulon and Ruby Jewell Rippetoe Rogers. She was a retried administrator with the State of Tennessee and a member of Sycamore Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Cable and brother, Donald Rogers. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Denise & Dale Woods of Woodbury, and Tammy & Alan Thrasher of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Marcus Thrasher, Craig Thrasher, Ted Woods, Amelia Woods, and Ellen Woods; brother, Darwin (Delores) Rogers of Bellville, MI; and sister, Charlotte (Don) Pierce of Cookeville. Pallbearers will be Marcus Thrasher, Craig Thrasher, Ted Woods, Dale Woods, Alan Thrasher, and Tim Jones. Memorial contributions may be made to Sycamore Church of Christ Education Fund 1144 Crescent Drive Cookeville, TN 38501. Mrs. Cable"�s family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
