Joy Chappellet

Funeral services for Mrs. Joy Irene Chappellet, age 70 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, March 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Dyer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Double Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Chappellet’s family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. She died Monday morning, March 16th at her home. She was born March 31, 1949 in Putnam Co., TN to the late Grady Haul and Anna Margaret Chaffin Scott. Joy loved her family and gatherings with her loved ones. She was a loving mother and wife who loved camping and fishing with her family in years gone. She was creative and enjoyed canning and sewing. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Felix ‘Flix’ Chappellet. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Bradley Denson, daughters, Donna (Ronnie) Eldridge of Cookeville, Tina (Jackie) Smith of Baxter; son, Scott (Tracey) Webb of Cookeville; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Roy (Lisa) Scott of Baxter; and by a sister, Teresa (Mike) Johnson of Sparta.
