Funeral services for Joyce Carr Fisher, 79 of the Boma Community of Putnam County will be Sunday, Marcj 3 at 2 P.M. at Boma First Church of God with interment to follow in Smellage Memory Gardens. Rev. Tim Sharp will officiate. Mrs. Fisher died Friday morning, March 1, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 20, 1933 in Putnam County to the late Olcie and Edith Shanks Carr. She was a retired welder with Tutco with over 20 years of service and member of Boma First Church of God. She was a member of the Navy Wives Club, Order of the Eastern Star and a great sports fan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert " Bill"� Fisher, son Robert Fulton Fisher, Jr.; sisters Josie Lee Buckner and Anna Faye Carr; brothers Darnell Carr, Neal Carr and Morris Carr; step-father Ed Poore. Survivors include 3 daughters and sons-in-law Teresa (J. Lynn) Maynard and Peggy (Michael)Williams and Roberta Arnold all of Silver Point; 5 grandchildren: Robert (Becky) Maynard, Josh (Bobbie) Maynard, Gary (Stacie) Williams, Joyce Arnold and Michael Hesson, Courtney Williams, 9 great-grandchildren: Isaac Maynard, Marley Maynard, Abbie Maynard, Emma Maynard, Claire Maynard, Leah Williams, Persephone Williams, Gabbie Briggs, Charlie Hesson and one due in July; sisters-in-law Linda Carr, Jane Carr and Jeannie Carr all of Baxter; special family friend Barry Staggs. Active Pallbearers will be members of the Boma First Church of God Youth Group. Mrs. Fisher's family will receive friends at Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home Saturday from 3 to 8 P.M. and Sunday from 12:30 till service time at the church.
