Judith Landis

Funeral services for Mrs. Judith Ann Olive Landis, age 75, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday March 10 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Tiebout officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington of Tennessee Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 7 p.m. and again Saturday from 10 a.m until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Landis passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1942 in Dayton, OH to the late Robert Nelson and Martha Lorena Dare Somers. Mrs. Landis was a member of Summerfield United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed at Meritor Automotive in Gordonsville and also employed at Oster in Cookeville. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, crochet, reading, and bowling. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Clarence Eugene Landis, who she married October 5, 1963 in Dayton, OH; three daughters, Lisa Landis, Nancy Landis, and Raejean Landis, all of Cookeville; son, Robert Michael Landis and wife Carrie of Knoxville; two grandchildren, Cole Allen Jarmen of Cookeville and Logan Lee Olive Landis of Knoxville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Nelson Somers. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
