Karen Chapman

A memorial gathering for Karen Valory Chapman, age 65 will be held Saturday, November 13th from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Chapman died Saturday October 16, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. She was born March 10, 1956 in Plattsburgh, New York to the late Paul and Sandra Brooks Tryon. Karen worked as a nurse at Osan Elementary in South Korea for over 20 years. She enjoyed time spent outdoors walking and gardening. She loved her family and is survived by her daughters, Michele Madrazo-Wallace (husband-Q), Cheryl (Marquette) Robinson and Katherine Chapman; sons, Chris (Jennifer) Madrazo and Chris (Jada) Chapman; brothers, Brooks Tryon and JP Tryon; sister, Cindy Vittucci; twelve grandchildren, D'vonte Mims, Dominique Mims, Devin Mims, Darren Mims, Marquette Robinson, Jaslyne Robinson, Kaden Robinson, Lily Robinson, Cassia Chapman, Deion Chapman, Jaxson Madrazo and Brooklyn Madrazo; great grandson, Lincoln Mims; her beloved pets, her dogs, Thumper and Maui and cat, Nugget.
