Funeral Services for Kathy Louise McGill, age 69, of Silver Point, will be Friday, August 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 16, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service. Mrs. McGill passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at Bethesda Health Care. She was born June 8, 1944 in East St. Louis, IL to the late James Jacob Starr and Ruth Marie Hamilton Starr. Kathy married James McGill on March 4, 1960 in St. Louise, IL. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a very loving, gentle and compassionate lady continually offering a helping hand to those in need. She was dedicated to working with the West Putnam Food Ministry. Kathy is survived by her husband of 53 years, James McGill, one daughter; Joanna (William) Rizer of Madison Heights MI, three sons; James (Kimberly) McGill of Goodrich MI, Joel L. McGill of Oxford MI, Jeffery (Joanne) McGill of Oxford MI, seven grandchildren; Jamie Osborn, Charles Liebenow, Lindsey McGill, Alexanderia McGill, Kaysee McGill, Jordan and Kyle Rizer. Three great grandchildren; Abigail Liebenow , Keegan and Owen Osborn, one brother; James Starr of Caseyville IL, two sisters; Mary Lou Grayson of East Windsor NJ, Barbara Eisenberg of Long Island NY. Kathy is also survived by a special friend; Carol (James) Herron of Cookeville. Kathy had adopted and rescued two pets named Holly and Millie that held a special place in her heart. Dinner will be held at New Home Baptist Church in Baxter following the interment. Pallbearers will be Floyd Brown, Hugh Brown, Larry Dale Brown, Jimmy haggard, Matt Haggard and James Herron. Bro. Charlie Wills will officiate the service.
