Kenneth Smith

Graveside services and interment with military honors for Kenneth Lee Smith, 75 of Silver Point, will be Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Carr Cemetery in Silver Point, TN. Bro. Tony Crow will officiate. Mr. Smith died Friday, January 2, 2015 at NHC of Cookeville. He was born January 31, 1939 in Putnam County to the late Noah B. and Loraine Marsh Smith. He was an Army veteran serving 1962-1964. He graduated from Baxter Seminary and received a degree in Accounting and Business Management from Tennessee Tech University. Kenneth was a retired supervisor with Dupont Company in Old Hickory, Tn. with 25 years of service. He played on the Silver Point Baseball Team in his younger days and had an orchard and sold his apples and peaches at the Farmers Market in Cookeville. Survivors include son Darrin Smith of Carthage, 4 grandchildren. Special thanks to friends Wanda Smith and Jimmy Smith and to NHC for the great care care they provided.
