Lane Stamps

Graveside services and interment with military honors for Mr. Thurman "Lane"� Stamps, 49, of Sugar Hill, GA and formerly of Monterey will be held Saturday, October 13 at 1 p.m. at Whiteaker Cemetery with Chaplain Colby Blaylock officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. Mr. Stamps died suddenly Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Emory Hospital in John"�s Creek, GA. He was born December 3, 1962 in Monterey, TN to the late Thurman Monroe and Sara Jo Bowden Stamps. Mr. Stamps was of the Baptist faith. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm and he was a member of VFW Post 5255 in Lawrenceville, GA. His family includes his wife, Noel Goodwin Stamps of Sugar Hill, GA, (whom he married January 16, 1986 in Knoxville, TN); daughter, Jasmine Stamps of Atlanta, GA; brother, Jason Stamps of Cookeville; two sisters, Kimberly Harkins of Marietta, GA and Dana Dillon of Cookeville and nephews, Jonathan, Grayson & Jackson and niece, Morgan.
