Graveside services and interment for Larry Dean Medley, 54 of Silver Point will be Wednesday, March 25 at 2 PM at Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma Community of Putnam County. Mr. Medley died Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. He was born July 15, 1960, in Cookeville to the late Jimmy and Lois Kinniard Medley. He was a 1978 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter. He graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a Masters Degree in Education. He taught in the past at Union Heights and Forks River Schools in Smith County and in Putnam County at Monterey and the former Cookeville Junior High School. He also served as Head Basketball Coach at Union Heights and Monterey. He was currently serving in the Distribution Warehouse at Amazon in Lebanon. Survivors include daughters, Chelsey Medley and Christy Medley, brother and sister-in-law Ladell and Karen Medley all of Cookeville, mother of his children Lisa Medley, niece Jenna Medley, nephew Justin Medley, a host of cousins, and special friend Marie Roberts. Rev. Earl Dirkson will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, visitation will be at the cemetery following services.
