Funeral services for Nettie Lorelle Goolsby, age 101 of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m Friday November 27 at Dyer Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Miles will officiate. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. until service time. Due to COVID-19 precautions, please practice social distancing, and the use of face masks are encouraged. Lorrelle passed away Sunday evening November 22, 2020 at Mt Juliet Health Care Center. She was born July 9, 1919 in Cookeville to the late Bertie and Winnie Bohannon West. She is survived by her son, Gary (Vickey) Goolsby of Cookeville; daughter, Beverly Halfacre of Franklin; son-in-law, Charles Dyer of Cookeville; six grandchildren, Kandice Halfacre, Chris (Faye) Dyer, Lori (Nate) Walker, Eric Dyer, Jason and Kyle Goolsby; eight great grandchildren, Joyce, Alexander, and Nora Dyer, Barrett and Alayna Walker, Brelynn Dyer, Brayden and Avery Goolsby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay C. Goolsby; daughter, Dianne Dyer; son-in-law, Buddy Halfacre; brothers, Alton, Bernice, Benton, James Ralph, and Lillard West; sisters, Viola McCaleb, Venoy Ament, Vera Mae West, and Emogene Daniel.
