Louise Isom

Funeral Services for Bessie Louise Isom, 82, of Cookeville, will be Tuesday, July 24 at 1 PM from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Isom Cemetery in White County, TN. Pastor Ron Allen and Jimmy Isom will officiate. Mrs. Isom died Friday, July 20, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was born August 5, 1935 in Cookeville to the late Grady and Effie Jo Pinkston Wooten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Waymon Edward Isom on November 9, 2015, a daughter Betty Jane Isom. She was a lifelong resident of Cookeville. She was a retired seamstress with Wilson Sporting Goods of Cookeville with 40 years of service. She enjoyed baking wedding, birthday and anniversary cakes. She was a member of Mt. Herman Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include sisters Bonnie Allen, Eva Ruth Allen and Geneva Gaw all of Cookeville, a very special cousin Norman Pinkston of Cookeville (To which Waymon and Louise have provided a home and cared for over the past 40 years), a host of nieces and nephews. A special "THANKS" to her caregivers, Crystal Romines and Pat Sullivan. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Active Pallbearers will be Clyde Allen, Norman Pinkston, Johnny Phy, Michael Phy, Jeff Hunter, Jimmy Isom, Shane Allen and Tyler Swindell.
