Luanne Williams

ALGOOD-Funeral services for Paula "Luanne" Williams, age 77, will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Algood Family Event Center. Bro. Danny Hall will officiate. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Algood Family Event Center. Mrs. Williams died Monday December 13, 2021 at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. She was born December 18, 1943 in Putnam Co., TN to the late Paul and Lucille Pointer Goolsby. She was a 1961 graduate of Algood School and earned a bachelor's degree from Tennessee Tech University. A lifelong educator, Luanne was a teacher at Algood Middle School for 35 years. She was a loving and caring person to her students and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Williams; and by a brother, Lynn Goolsby. She is survived by daughter, Marla Hale of Cookeville; grandson, Samuel Hale and wife Tara; grandchildren, Lakelyn and Aiden Hale; nieces and nephews, Lynn and Amy Goolsby and Mark and Kelly Goolsby; and by great niece and nephew, Hannah Goolsby Ledbetter and Lucas Ledbetter and their son, Hudson.
